They also made a few other quick tweaks that the door needed, all at a very reasonable price for both parts and labor. Tim and Alvin were already on their way to another job but because we needed help in a hurry, they stopped by our place within 30 minutes from the time I called and had it fixed in less than an hour! They had the parts they needed on hand and worked quickly to get the door working again. We called Aladdin Doors of Raleigh because their ad said they specialized in this sort of thing. We searched online (‘Googled’) to find someone who could fix this kind of thing quickly. The double door is made of wood and very heavy so we couldn’t even lift it manually which was bad news since we were hoping to make an early start up to DC to visit our son and his family for an early Christmas. Here’s why… Friday, December 18, we woke up to find that we were ‘trapped’ in our garage because the overhead garage door spring had broken. We’d highly recommend them to anyone anytime. They went above and beyond my expectations to correct the situation. Thanks to Aladdin Doors, specifically Moses and Dan, for their outstanding service. They also adjusted and tightened my springs and checked the entire door to make sure everything was working good. Frustrating! Well, Moses apologized and said that he was going to replace the unit instead of re-ordering the part and waiting for it to arrive.
In fact they said they’d be here between 8-10 and came early at 7:55 am! Wow! Moses brought a second technician (Dan) and as they started to replace the part that LiftMaster sent, they discovered they sent the wrong part. As soon as the part arrived, I called that morning and Moses came out the same day. We called the manufacturer (LiftMaster) together and arranged to have them ship the part direct to me. He looked up my history and said it was under warranty. My tech Moses recommended replacing the opener. They scheduled me for the following day and arrived on time, as always.
